We are excited to offer a comprehensive apprentice program to those who are 18 years or older and show a passion for careers in welding, CNC programming or machining, industrial maintenance technology, and belt fabrication.

As an apprentice, you will receive real-world skills while working and completing your education. While working as a part of our team, Cumulus will pay for your education, provide benefits and competitive pay ranging from $17-22 an hour, depending on your position and level of experience.

Ready to jumpstart your career? Here’s how to qualify for our apprentice program: 

  • Have applied to an accredited program of study to train as a welder, CNC programmer or machinist, industrial maintenance technician, belt fabrication technician, or a closely related field.
  • Have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in a skilled trade.
  • Be eligible, and agree, to work for Cumulus Companies, Inc. while completing your program of study and for a minimum of two years after. 
  • Maintain a grade point average of B or higher.
  • Complete your program of study within the specified, or customary, time frame.
  • Submit an application.

Terms and Conditions

  • Those who do not maintain continuous employment with a Cumulus Companies, Inc. entity for the duration of their program and two additional years will be required to return a prorated portion of the scholarship. 
  • Current employees of Cumulus Companies, Inc. are eligible for the scholarship program and may apply. 
  • If a recipient fails to meet the scholarship’s maintenance requirements, the scholarship may be suspended or revoked.
  • Applications are accepted continually and will be reviewed on a quarterly basis.
